Description

Useful SQL Queries™ for U-M Research Centers is a curated collection of reusable Oracle SQL reporting queries for research administration. The examples help cores, centers, institutes, and labs report on member publications, grants, and related institutional data.

Each query can be used as a starting point and adapted to local schemas, permissions, and reporting rules. The repository is especially relevant to University of Michigan teams, while its patterns may also help analysts building similar research-performance reports elsewhere.

Quick Start Guide

These example queries are organized by subject area or general reporting need (e.g. "Publications").
To use them, copy the query you want to use, paste it into your favorite SQL development tool, and edit any input variables.
The query documents which data sources are needed. To be granted access, submit a ticket to HITS or ITS depending on the source.
